At once personal and public, global and local, DUET asks us to reflect and connect with each other anonymously across the world, while exploring questions of identity and personal history.

The App invites participants in India and the UK to build a unique and anonymous relationship with someone on the other side of the world.  Participants connect and exchange details of their lives by answering one question a day through the app. Prompted by DUET, a participant gradually builds a picture of their partner and their surroundings through shared messages.

The Web Platform is a beautiful portal into thousands of global conversations and provides a framework to explore the anonymous conversations happening via the app in real time; an evolving, animated network.

The Public Artworks offer ephemeral glimpses of the evolving personal relationships, in public spaces in India and the UK. Messages received via the app will be presented in location specific contexts. The work will portray windows into the project which captures the fragility and the strength, the differences and similarities of thousands of conversations taking place.
